  • State of Alaska Uses InfoPlus GuardianServiceĀ® to Restore Server After Major PBX Failure.

    The State of Alaska has a Nortel Meridian 1, Option 81C PBX installed in Anchorage, Alaska - this system supports more than 6500 state employees throughout the Anchorage metropolitan area. Their PBX recently fell victim to data corruption which caused a major interruption in service. Immediately following the failure, the customer discovered that they had neglected to create backups of the PBX database and, as a result, had no way to reboot their system and eliminate the corruption.

    Fortunately, the State of Alaska subscribed to InfoPlus GuardianService through AlcanTel. Using InfoPlus Online Services, we were able to locate and download a complete, corruption-free binary backup of their PBX database from the InfoPlus website and, ultimately, restore their service.
