Verizon Business Partners with InfoPlusĀ® to Provide Nortel Disaster Recovery and Online User Training Across the Customer Footprint
July 10, 2007
InfoPlus, a leading remote service bureau serving the PBX/VoIP marketplace, announced that Verizon Business is now providing InfoPlus Disaster Recovery Services and Online User Training for all of its Nortel voice services maintenance customers.
Offered as a hosted solution, InfoPlus Disaster Recovery Services will allow Verizon Business to perform (and store in a centralized, off-site location) remote database backups of Nortel PBX equipment while satisfying customer business contingency requirements, reducing the overall number of dispatches and, in the end, positively impacting the Verizon Business bottom line. Additionally, this new service gives Verizon Business a distinct competitive advantage over other vendors in the Nortel marketplace.
Remote binary backups are performed by InfoPlus using its own equipment. After obtaining the backup files, the data is run through a series of quality assurance routines designed to proactively identify corruption issues and ensure data integrity. Following these quality assurance routines, the backup files are made accessible to the entire Verizon Business footprint, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, via the Verizon/InfoPlus Secure Web Portal.
In addition, Verizon Business will provide each participating PBX location with unlimited access to InfoPlus Online User Training, a self-directed, web-based training tool that instructs Verizon Business end users on the operation and setup of their Nortel sets and Voice Mail. Access to InfoPlus Online Training will be free of charge for as long as the customer participates in the InfoPlus Binary Backup Program.
